The friday of Comic Con was interesting to say the least... The Infusion Project was in for a disco of horrific proportions!! It was surely an unforgettable event (Besides the horror films, demonic live art, and hypnotic sounds of Mark E Quark, it's pretty hard to forget about a party when you upload a bunch of pics)

The travel Channel came through EL||D... they brought the crew from Miami Ink to film a new series called 'World Wide Tribe' – a new "reality" series depicting the many cultures who embrace tattoo. As you may already know, EL||D staff members are familiar with the art... We're also familiar with Lucky's Tattoo Parlor, the friendly folks hosting the WWT crew during their San Diego stay.

NEW LENS = FUN

Most of these pics are from Friday, March 27th... Lots of fun!!

BTW, this thing is soooooo fun! These days, most photographers who come through our door seem to consistently use flash. We're not trying to belittle their efforts, but there's something so real lost with flash. Taking these pics felt like a cultural study!! The hope in using this new lens is to let the cross-culture at EL||D speak volumes. It's an attempt at documenting our bar, as is... Clearly, something is missing... We could never assume this one set reps all the folks who come in and out of the front. But, over time we hope to share the many experiences at EL||D, so you can compare and contrast your own experience with us.

A Lazy Monday with Lagunitas...

Mad hops (?) to Lagunitas Brewing Co for bringing their very friendly crew into EL||D for a swell evening at the pub. This was a great night!! Lot's of new and old faces... but all seemed well-to-do by others.
